When it comes to technology, I enjoy using the Microsoft Office programs. I have had plenty of experience with creating flyers, projects, and documents with the Office programs. In addition, during my Teacher Cadet internship I gained experience with creating assignments. I truly enjoy and rely on technology for much of everyday life. Also, the Blackboard (and similar links) set up is familiar because I have completed many online classes through Blackboard. This course creates compelling activities to increase the computer skills for which i have already attained.
I would like to connect the lesson plan skills I have already attained with the computer skills I use daily to create a technological learning environment for my students. The major learning experience I hope to experience involves using the Internet and interactive technological elements during Mathematics courses. Most of all, interconnecting elements that I have learned previously to heighten my skills. Technology is expanding daily, so it is vital to have an in depth understanding of the uses in the classroom. Communication is also a major key to a productive classroom; and, technology has many ways for communicating that I would like to master. I hope to obtain all of this through the progression of this course.
The Learning Styles Questionnaire concluded that I am an active, visual, and sequential learner. I find this to be extremely accurate. Expanding my knowledge is significantly easier with visual representation, linear steps, and actively engaging in class. I learned that I am both a sensing and intuitive learner. I have never put too much thought into this aspect of learning. However, after linking all of the conclusions above together my Learning Styles make sense in comparison to my personal learning.
